Purity Ring – “Belispeak”

An amazing blend of sounds and samples from Corrin Roddick laced with Megan James powerful voice creates a beautiful duo of people who were seemingly born to work together. Rising from the ashes of artists such as Born Gold (Gobble Gobble) and Fuck The Tundra. There is no reason not to check them out.

Drake ft. Rihanna – “Take Care”

The entire new Drake album is worth your time, provided you have some reason not to already have it. This track is such a standout during the initial listen. Produced by Jamie xx of The xx, it’s entirely too easy to become lost in it.

Long Long Long – “Mennonite Men”

Post-hardcore’s answer to pop music. The structure between the two guitarists and the vocals create astounding harmonies. From Halifax’s already exploding scene, comes another east coast powerhouse.

Animal Faces – “Forward Through”

Compared to the likes of nearly every Hardcore legend. It’s hard to believe this Toronto trio isn’t already being heard all over the world. The debut EP Analytical Dreaming is an eclectic mix of mellow, driving, odd, and straight forward.
