A new exhibit titled Imagination in Reality opened at the Kariton Art Gallery on Saturday.  The exhibit featured the work of children from the Abbotsford School of Integrated Arts (ASIA) North Poplar Elementary school, with added embellishments to those pieces by two art instructors, Shannon Thiesen and Chelaine Neufeldt. By mixing the child-like imagination of the original works with mature landscapes, the exhibit draws on the differences between the two stages of development. The opening night audience reflected this, consisting of families, with children accompanied by their parents. The night also featured live music from a pianist and vocalist, and wine provided by the Mt. Lehman winery. Imagination in Reality will run until April 5.
