Bored of spending lonely nights with your textbook? SUS, working alongside Club ESL, is offering getaway trips and activities to UFV students at a discounted price.

Club ESL, a student tour company, offers tours from Whistler to Tofino and tickets to many different activities in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

The name Club ESL may mislead some to believe it only caters to international students. In fact its objective is to “enhance the international student’s time abroad by providing opportunities to interact on a social level with other international and Canadian students through tours, activities, intramural sporting leagues, parties, and special events,” as quoted on its website.

These trips and activities are open to all UFV students. Incoming SUS president Ryan Petersen explains the trips allow students to get to know each other from other universities across Canada, as Club ESL is connected across the country.

“[It is] a great opportunity to get to know new people from your own university and others”.

These trips and tours are still a new service SUS is providing to students.

“We had two international students attend the Rocky Mountain trip,” said Petersen of the March 21 to 24 trip to the Banff area.

SUS also recently offered Canucks tickets for $75, including transportation, versus the Ducks on March 29.
