Stalh-lec (Donna Villeneuve) leads a drumming circle Sunday afternoon, where women gathered to practice songs that “honour the givers of life,” Villeneuve says. Villeneuve taught women to sing “from the bottom of your gut” to the steady beat of the drum. The women will share songs at the annual International Women’s Day event which takes place at the Reach on March 8.
