There’s nothing better than combining the decadence of chocolate with the relaxation of yoga. On Tuesday, November 22, UFV’s yoga club and mental health awareness club did just that. The yoga session incorporated mindful eating into the poses. Taking time to use all of the senses to enjoy pieces of chocolate brought another level of focus to the yoga practice.
After the mindful eating and yoga, participants were encouraged to socialize and enjoy some colouring. There were also handouts with information on mental health available to take home. The event was planned as a stress eliminator for students nearing the semester’s end, and the two clubs are considering collaborating again in the future. Here’s hoping that if they do, their next event will also involve chocolate.
