3/4 cup chopped dark chocolateÂ
1/4 cup butterÂ
1/4 cup condensed milkÂ
1½ cup milkÂ
1/2 cup powdered sugarÂ
3/4 cup flourÂ
5 tbsp cocoa powderÂ
1/4 tsp baking powder
Optional:
1/2 cup chocolate chunks
1/4 cup diced walnuts
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 320 degrees.
- Grease or line a square cake tin (preferably an 8 by 8-inch) with parchment paper.
- Pour some water into a saucepan and bring it to a gentle simmer.
- Rest another bowl on top of the saucepan to make a double boiler and toss in all of the dark chocolate and butter. Slowly melt the butter and chocolate mixture, stirring occasionally. After it melts, briefly set it aside to cool.
- Add the milk, condensed milk, and cocoa powder. Blend thoroughly.
- Fold-in flour, powdered sugar, and baking powder.
- Fill the prepared cake tin with the batter. If desired, add a few walnuts or chocolate chunks to the top.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Take your brownies out of the oven. Allow it to cool fully before serving.
Tips:
Fudgier: Reduce the flour to 1/2 cup for a fudgier texture.Â
Cakier: Up the baking powder to 1/2 tsp for a lighter texture.
