I’m excited to see the Vancouver Canucks star Brock Boeser look like he’s back in form to start this season after overcoming three injury-riddled seasons. I have to admit I like the guy’s story because it’s totally about redemption. To watch him experience a series of injuries to his back, groin, rib cage, and wrist was hard after I had so much hope for his sophomore season. In this year’s Canucks’ home opener on Jan. 20 against the Montreal Canadiens, watching Boeser have his second two-goal game in the first five games to start the season was promising. Also, seeing him back on the Lotto Line with Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller was a bonus because I think that’s where he belongs. He needs to get that line going again. The Canucks have only scored 15 points collectively in the first five games of the season, and that’s without the goals that stalling superstar Pettersson will inevitably put in the net. Boeser’s dynamic wrist shot and quick release look ready to reclaim his 2018 All-Star MVP form. I hope he keeps lighting up opposing goaltenders and leads the Vancouver Canucks to the Stanley Cup playoffs.
