Are you looking to get vaccinated this fall semester? If so, you are in luck. UFV is offering a free on-campus vaccination clinic on both Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses.

Any UFV staff, students, and faculty (along with their family and friends 12+) are welcome to come to a pop-up vaccine clinic for a first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The Abbotsford clinic will be in the Atrium/Evered Hall in the Student Union Building on September 16 and 20 (2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.). The Chilliwack campus will host its vaccination clinic on September 16 (10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) at T1042 and September 20 (10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) in the Building A Atrium.

UFV staff and students are being given priority because of the importance of protecting one another. Dave Pinton, director of communications at the university, agreed that the UFV pop-up clinic is “one more way for students, faculty, staff, and members of the community to gain convenient access to vaccinations.” The university did not specify which vaccines would be available, but those curious are encouraged to contact Fraser Health directly.

When attending a pop-up clinic in Abbotsford or Chilliwack, you’ll need to bring a mask, your Personal Health Number (PHN), and your photo ID. If you are going in for your second dose, make sure to bring your COVID-19 Immunization Record card.

According to Pinton, with these clinics, the university plans to have  “vaccines that offer the safest and fastest pathways to healthy campuses and healthy communities. If you have been invited from the Provincial Get Vaccinated system to book your second dose or have not received your first dose, you are welcome to walk in.
