Grouse Mountain turns one hundred

Grouse Mountain will be celebrating their 100th anniversary in 2026 and they honoured this milestone by hosting a New Years Eve party on Dec. 31, 2025. The event was open to the public and activities went from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. When reserving their spots, people were offered a special edition evening ticket price of $39 that gave them access to the mountain after 8:00 p.m., but most activities were included with a regular admission ticket.

They had a full itinerary of two fireworks displays, a family show, a Pyro Musical show, a light walk, ice skating, complimentary snowshoe tours around the Blue Grouse Lake trail, a First Nations crafting station, and a fire pit with complimentary hot chocolate. Live music carried the night forward as some visitors enjoyed a seven course dinner at The Observatory restaurant with the option of watching the fireworks, complete with wine pairings. Those who dined there also received complimentary Gondola/Skyride tickets. There was also a family buffet option available that was suitable for all ages. For the New Years Eve celebration itself, complimentary champagne was provided as people counted down and welcomed 2026.
