To those of you who cast their SUS by-election ballot early on opening day, Thursday Oct 18, until roughly noon, you will need to recast your vote via myUFV.

During this period the ballot system was noticed to be allowing irregularities through which were being counted alongside the official results. To correct for this the SUS elections committee took the necessary steps of temporarily pulling the election to correct the system. All votes up to this period have been invalidated.

The elections committee has been working to notify all affected voters. This is a small number of roughly 20-30 students which had cast their ballot during the time. Those whose votes are not being counted will have to recast.

If there’s any uncertainty that you’re one of the affected parties the easiest way to know is by simply logging into myUFV and looking under the “myUFV Surveys and Elections” section for a renewed ballot.

Voting continues until Wednesday, October 24.
