The annual New Student Orientation brought roughly 1,000 students together, said UFV vice-president Jody Gordon at the UFV Board of Governors meeting last week. International Student Orientation also offered two orientation sessions with approximately 150 students.

Orientation for both domestic and international students was held in the Student Union Building, the gymnasium, and in various classrooms on campus, giving new students opportunities to learn about the difference in expectations between high school and university, meet representatives from student clubs and associations, and to familiarize themselves with the UFV campus.
