On his goals as rep-at-large

“At UFV, students in the arts are not able to double-major with other programs in the arts, which seems, to me, backwards – because as a university we should be trying to encourage people to take up related areas of study, to expand their qualifications and credentials, to expand their career opportunities.”

On keeping SUS fiscally responsible

“I think that [among] students who I’ve spoken to on campus, there’s a general consensus that a fee increase is unwarranted – that if SUS does need more funding, we should be looking into areas where we are currently putting funds, and are these areas really that important, or should we be cutting back?”

“If we have a problem with funding, maybe we should consider leaving societies like CASA – areas which are very valuable, and have great intentions, but for a society with limited funding at a small university, maybe it isn’t the best time.”

Concluding remarks

“I’ve got fire, I’m passionate. A lot of people aren’t listened to, or they feel they haven’t been listened to, and I want to be that person who says, ‘I’m listening. I’m going to do what you want to be done and I’m going to advocate for you.’”
