My Narrator, directed by Tim Howe, is a must-see for lovers of romantic comedy.

The play begins with Lacy (Renée Weisgerber) who, as the title might suggest, has her own narrator (Melissa Regamble) to guide her away from meeting her usual choice of men. However, when she meets Miles (Calvin Baker), a newly-hired men’s clothing salesman who has already been fired from a string of other jobs, Lacy inexplicably ignores the advice of her narrator and accepts his awkward proposition of a date. When tactless Miles hears about Lacy’s narrator, he decides he needs one of his own (Gabe Kirkley).

In the delightfully cheesy chain of events that follows, a woman who can’t sell art and a man who can’t keep his mouth shut navigate the often precarious minefield of dating with a refreshing new twist.

Characters and humour were strong in the 60 minute crowd-pleaser. The actors charmed the audience and received a standing ovation. By the end of the show, I wanted a narrator too.
